Archaism |
| |
Archaism, in the arts, refers to the taste for the primitive and naive, and to an interest in the revival of such archaic models. It often predicates the belief in the innate value of the earlier model coming from a simpler, purer golden age, and that the revival of these forms will encourage a revival of the imagined quality of life of those former days.
