Role

 
     
  In sociological terms, a role is a collection of socially defined attributes and expectations associated with social positions. The term role refers to the fact that when a person occupies a social position such as parent or teacher his or her behaviour is determined more by the expectations of that position than by his or her own individual behaviour.
